MARA CHAPLIN
ATHLETIC THERAPIST, MASSAGE THERAPIST
Mara graduated from Sheridan College with a Bachelor of Applied Health Science (Athletic Therapy) with Honours in 2007, a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Dalhousie University in 2003 and a Diploma in Massage Therapy from Ontario College of Health Technology in 2016. She is trained in manual techniques such as Mulligans, soft tissue release and Myofasical Release.
For the past six years Mara has been working as a Certified Athletic Therapist and most recently as a Registered Massage Therapist with top junior and professional tennis players while covering ITF and Tennis Canada sanctioned events. She traveled internationally with Canada’s Wheelchair Tennis Team and Canada’s Women’s and U19 Women’s National Floorball Teams. Mara worked as a therapist in Tennis for the Pan Am Games and as the Lead Medical Practitioner for Wheelchair Tennis at the Parapan Am Games in Toronto. She was the Lead Medical Practitioner for Wheelchair Tennis at the 2017 Invictus Games.
